RALPH KEMPS

Ralph E. Kemps, age 78, of Neenah passed away on Friday, January 25, 2013 at Vallhaven Care Center. He was born on June 2, 1934 in Neenah, son of the late Henry and Jeannette (Miller) Kemps. Ralph graduated from Neenah High School, class of 1953. After high school he proudly served his country with the United States Marine Corps. He was employed with Banta Corp., Kimberly Clark, and painted many houses in the earlier years. On November 12, 1983 he married Karen (Schwartzkopf) Arps. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and loved his dogs, Lady and Lucky. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Karen; his daughter, Maripat (Mark) Franke, Neenah; his sons: Kevin (Ann Voges) Kemps, Neenah, Adam (Cindy) SchaeferKemps, Menasha; step-children: Kathryn (Dale) Howard, Larsen, John Arps, Oshkosh; Michael (fiance Beth Kerstell), Arps, Oshkosh; 7 grandchildren; 6 step grandchildren; his first wife, Mary Kemps, Menasha; a sister, Marion Fast, N.C.; brothers: Don (Trudy) Kemps, Neshkoro; sister-in-law, Lois Kemps, Newald, WI. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Sara Kemps; a brother, Russell Kemps; and a brother-in-law, Bob Fast. The Memorial Service for Ralph will be held on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at 4:30 p.m. at Neenahs Westgor Funeral Home. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 3:00 p.m. until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
