Obituary
Elaine D. McDonald, of Neenah, age 89, passed away on Friday, January 25, 2013, at Theda Clark Medical Center, surrounded by her family following a brief illness. She was born May 20, 1923 in Oshkosh, daughter of the late Edwin and Adela (Grohskreuz) Janke. Elaine married Wayne McDonald on June 15, 1946 in Oshkosh. She was a beautician while they lived together in Milwaukee. She moved to Neenah and devoted her time to raising her 4 children, as well as providing foster care for a number of children. She worked for a number of years for the Neenah School System in the school kitchen. She always felt her number one job was taking care of her family. Elaine enjoyed dancing with friends, camping, travelling, cross stitch and quilting. She was a member and active volunteer at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Neenah. Survivors include her husband, Wayne; two daughters: Dorothy (Greg) Scovronski, Neenah, Donna (Tom) Mills, Trophy Club, TX; two sons: Doug (Joan) McDonald, Neenah, Duane (Carrie) McDonald, Neenah; 11 grandchildren: Mark (Kristin) Scovronski, Menasha, Melissa Schussman, Neenah, Sarah (Fritz) Rogstad, Oshkosh, Marissa (Rick) Niel, TX, Beth Mills, Oshkosh, Kelly (Adam) Elliott, TX, Kari (Jared) Lemoine, TX, Jennifer McDonald, Neenah, Kimberly McDonald, Neenah, Jake McDonald and his fianc Stephanie, Milwaukee, Laura McDonald, Milwaukee; 13 great-grandchildren; and a brother, David (Gloria) Janke, Oshkosh. Elaine was preceded in death by her grandson, Sgt. James W. McDonald. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 30, 2013, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 200 N. Commercial St., Neenah, with The Rev. Clarence Harms officiating. The visitation will be held on Tuesday at MENASHAS Westgor Funeral Home from 4:00-8:00 PM and again at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers memorials are appreciated to St. Pauls in Elaines name. The family would like to thank the staff of 6th Floor South at Theda Clark for all of their compassionate care of Elaine.
