JOHN RESCH

John Resch, 83, of Menasha, passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2013, at his home. John was the son of the late Leonard and Marcella (Schwartzbauer) Resch. John served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. John married Patricia Boreson on September 13, 1958, and together they celebrated 54 years of marriage. He was a member of the American Legion. John loved going to the casino and playing cards with his family. Survivors include his wife, Pat; a daughter, Kelly (Dan) Amundson; a sister, Barb Resch; sisters and brother-in-law: June & Ron Schultz and Kay Boreson Sawsville; and many nieces, nephews, and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by Leonard & Marcella Resch, Florence & Herb Porsche, and her son Rob & Betty Resch. The memorial service for John will be Saturday, February 9, 2013, 11:00 a.m., at Menashas Westgor Funeral Home, with Deacon Rick Dvorak officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Saturday until the hour of the service at the funeral home. Urn burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Menasha, at a later date. Military honors for John will be conducted after the memorial service at the funeral home by the United States Army and the Neenah/Menasha Veterans Honor Group.
