FREDERICK STARR

Frederick D. Starr, age 76 of Neenah, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2013. He was born May 7, 1936 to the late Frederick N. and Maxine Starr in Oak Park, IL. On December 26, 1959, he married Charlotte Meyer. Fred enjoyed woodworking, making remote controlled boats, boat racing, go karting, and playing cribbage. He loved spending time with his wife, kids, grandkids and friends and was a retiree from Duo Safety Ladder. He fought a good fight for the last two years; he is now able to breathe without any struggle. Fred is survived by his wife of over 53 years, Charlotte; his children: Diane (Don) Spence; Donald (special friend Melissa Crabb) Starr; Tammy Welson; Cheryl (Scott) Lehl; Brad (Maggie) Starr; Christopher Starr; Matt (Stacey) Starr; and Phil (Jami) Brewer; his grandchildren: Tara and Travis Tipler; Brian and Hailey Welson; Ashley (Joe) Hoier; Megan and Emily Lehl; Madeline and Abigail Starr; Ava and soon-to-be Mason Starr; Elijah and Tuviah Starr; Alicia (Eric) Brewer; Ryan (Nikki) Brewer; Austin Brewer; and Colton Crabb; his great-grandchildren: Aiden Hoier and a sibling on the way; Jared, Brendan, Aidan and Logan Brewer. He is further survived by his brother, Robert (Linda) Starr; his sister-in-law, Barbara (Mike) Beckingham; brothers-in-law: Jerry (Judy) Meyer, and Dennis (Judy) Meyer; as well as many nieces and nephews and a sister-in-law, Terry Meyer. He was preceded in death by his brother, William (Celia) Starr; a son-in-law, Don Welson; his parents-in-law, Harold and Irene Meyer; and brothers-in-law, Randy and Kenny Meyer. The funeral service for Fred will be held at 4:00 P.M. Sunday, February 10, 2013 at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 809 S. Commercial, Neenah, Rev. Catherine A.K. Mode officiating. Visitors will be received from 2:00 P.M. until the hour of service. Entombment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Freds name.
