Obituary

Carol M. Parks, 86, of Neenah, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2010, at Vallhaven Care Center. Carol was born April 7, 1923, in Marshfield, the daughter of Jules and Alvina (Doezel) Mittermiller. Carols roots were in Marshfield; she went to school there, and excelled in basketball. It was there she met and married her dear husband, LaVern Vern on September 14, 1946. They celebrated 40 years together before his passing on November 28, 1986. Carol was an X-ray technician in Marshfield before moving to the Chicago area. She was one of the first X-ray technicians at Marshfield Clinic, and was extremely proud of that. The Parks family moved to Neenah after living in Illinois. Carol then became the office manager for Doctors Stroebel, Bartizal, and Schaefer in Neenah prior to her retirement. Vern and Carol traveled all over the country in their travel trailer. They loved camping, playing bridge, and enjoyed the annual neighborhood Halloween parties. Carol was involved in Cub and Boy Scouting with her son Johns monthly pack meetings. She was a very good piano player, and liked to go shopping -shop til you drop. Carol was a very proud Grandma to her three grandchildren; Bradley, Christopher, and Desiree. She was a great conversationalist and seemed to make a friend wherever she would go. Carol will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include her daughter, Janelle Kellett (special friend, Ken), her son, John Michael (Vicky) Parks, all of Neenah; her grandchildren; Bradley (special friend, Amy), Christopher, and Desiree; two sisters, Rita (Ken) Josephson, Marshfield, and Donna Stadler, Eau Claire, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother, Jack, two granddaughters, Rebecca and Erin, and a brother-in-law, John Stadler. The Funeral Mass for Carol will be celebrated on Friday, February 19, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, Neenah, with Father Richard Allen officiating. Visitation will begin Friday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of mass. Interment will be in St. Margaret Cemetery, Neenah. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Animal Welfare League of Neenah, 951 CTH G , Neenah, 54956, to honor her love of animals. The family would like to extend their thanks to Vallhaven Care Center and AseraCare Hospice for the compassionate care and comfort given to Carol.

If you remember me,from my mom and dad, Marvin and Virgilla Fischer camping all those years with your mom and dad. My sincerest sympathy to everyone. Your mom has never been out of my mind ever since she was last with my mom when she passed away in Florida 17 years ago in February also. Your mom was the best of friends with my mom and I am truly grateful to her. They are both back together again on vacation.

Losing a loved one can be devastating. Which is why I wanted to express my deepest sympathy and concern for you and also share with you the wonderful hope for our dead loved ones. As you grieve Carols death, please reflect on the hope in question, which comes from Jehovah God. (Psalms 36:9). By means of the Bible, He allows us to understand how Hell eliminate death for good one day and bring our dead loved one back to life. This is evident in Scriptures like (Isaiah 25: 8), (John 5: 28), (1 Corinthians 15:26), (Revelation 21:3 and 4), which can comfort you in this time of sorrow. Gods promises are guaranteed because He cannot lie. Moreover John 11 verses 11-14, 39, 43, and 44 attests that Jesus, who God appoints to bring the dead back to life, can do it since he did it when he resurrected Lazarus when he was on earth. As you await Carols resurrection, please heed Jesus counsel in John 17 verse 3 and take steps to gain accurate knowledge of God and Jesus by carefully studying the Bible with the Witnesses. In John 5 verse 39, Jesus explains that such study is imperative if one wishes to have everlasting life one day here on earth, which will be become a paradise where you can be re-united with Carol again in a world free of violence, war, sickness, old age etc (Ps 37: 9-11 and 29), (Psalms 46: 8 and 9), (Isaiah 33:24), (Job: 33:25).
