PATRICIA SMITH

Smith, Patricia J. Pat Neenah Patricia J. Smith, of Neenah, age 76, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 25, 2010 at Theda Clark Medical Center. She was born on July 4, 1933 in Oshkosh, daughter of the late Harold and Viola (Helbick) Brickham. On September 29, 1951, Pat married John A. Smith in Oshkosh. The union was blessed with 58 years, six daughters, and one son. Pat was the Matriarch of her family, and was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She worked for many years at Theda Clark Medical Center, and continued volunteering at ThedaCare Print Center in Menasha. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, reading, politics, but most of all, she enjoyed her family. Her children were her pride and joy. She left a legacy of independence, determination, volunteerism and compassion. She was the center of her family, with unfailing love for them and, in turn, was loved greatly by them. Pat will be sadly missed by her loving husband, John; her daughters: Mary (Mike) Gagnon, Neenah, Sue (Mike) Hill, Appleton, Linda (Bob) Kinderman, Neenah, Joanne (Patrick) Ulbrich, Winneconne, Julie (Greg) Aleff, Darboy, Wendy Smith, Port Washington; one son: John (Carolina) Smith, Madison; 15 grandchildren: Jason, Kristi, Stephanie, Travis, Nicky, Tyler, John, Sam, Christopher, Carrie, Mikaela, Joseph, Ben, Katie, Sri Jeyanthi; great-grandchildren; and several brothers and sisters. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jim and sister, Joan, and her step-mother, Mary. Some people come into our lives and quietly go, others stay for awhile and leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never the same -L. Voskuil-Ewter Memorial service for Pat will be held on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at 2:30 P.M. at Neenahs Westgor Funeral Home for family and for friends of Pat and John. Guests will be received at the funeral home from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
