MILDRED SACKETT

Mildred Millie Sackett, age 95, Neenah, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 04, 2010. She was born July 28, 1914 to the late Louis and Meta (Schultz) Merkley in Neenah. After graduating from Neenah High School, Millie attended Mercy Medical School and graduated as a registered nurse. She then joined the Armed Forces as an Army Nurse and upon discharge worked as a Private Duty Nurse. After her marriage to Harvey Sackett, she started her family which became her most important job. She really was a great mother and cook. Millie was also a member of St. Timothy Church in Menasha. Millie is survived by her daughters: Starr (Special Friend Glenn Vissers) Sackett and Dawn Sackett; sons: Harvey (Shirley) Sackett and David Sackett; and three grandsons: Travis, Kyle and Joshua. She is further survived by a daughter-in-law Judy Sackett; Dr. Duane Bud and Ruth Sackett and their five daughters; nieces Meralee and Melanee; a sister-in-law Miriam; special friends who kept her in flowers, cards and candy; Tom and Nancy, Lori and Joe, Karen, Sherry, and Mrs. Boness of the St. Timothy Church Group. She was preceded in death by her husband Harvey; son Patrick in 2004; grandson John Michael in 2005; brother Clarence (Joy) Merkley; and many special friends. The Funeral Service for Millie will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at 11:30 A.M. at Menashas Westgor Funeral Home, Rev. Paul Holte officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until the hour of service. Interment will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Neenah.
