Obituary
Ruth Ann (Haefs) Brennenstuhl passed away on Tuesday, January 19th 2010, at the age of 70 after a prolonged illness at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Ruth was born August 24, 1939, in Escanaba, Mich., the daughter of Gilbert and Irene (Bowen) Haefs. The Haefs moved to Belle Plaine, Wisconsin, when Ruth was very young. Ruth was employed with Convergys of Appleton, and was with State Farm Insurance Agency in Neenah for many years. She was an active member of Sweet Adelines, and was very involved with the Waupaca Community Theater. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, William Mark and Marla Ann Brennenstuhl and daughter and son-in-law Robin Kristine and Ryan Joseph Bricco. She also has three grandchildren, Anthony Brennenstuhl, Hope Brennenstuhl, and Jayme Bricco. Her siblings include Carol Janke, Roy Haefs, and Donald Haefs from New London, Helen DSilva from Concord, NH, and Gordon Haefs living in Heltersberg, Germany. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Gilbert and Irene Haefs and sisters Linda Kiesow and Mary Francis Haefs. The Memorial Service for Ruth will be Saturday, January 23, 2010, at 5:00 p.m. at Menashas Westgor Funeral Home, with Rev. Dottie Matthews officiating. Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. Saturday until the hour of service at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later time in St. Mary Cemetery, Bear Creek.

To Bill and Robin and families, my deepest sympathy in the loss of your mother. I wish I had had the opportunity to get to know her better. I pray that you find comfort in the knowledge that you can see her again in the resurrection, and she is now without pain. God promises that there will be a new world without pain or death or sorrow. Deepest sorrow for the loss of a great person and friend....I worked with Ruth for many years at Convergys and loved coming in every morning and hearing good morning even if it was not a good one. I kept in touch with her even after she left Convergys and loved our talks. I do not understand this loss of a great person. I will cherish every moment and talk I had with Ruth and wish the family my deepest sympathy at this time. Robin anything you need please just ask. Ruth you will be forever remembered and forever missed....

Bill and Robin and families, I am so sorry for your loss. She was way too young to leave us. I have lots of happy memories of our younger years when we had so much fun together. I also remember some wonderful meals at your house as I loved her cooking. Your Mom was a kind and generous person with a keen sense of humor. I stayed at your parents for a week or two a couple of summers when I was a teenager and she always made be feel welcome. Love, Terry
