ROBERT GINTNER

Age 82, Neenah, died unexpectedly after a brief illness Monday, February 8, 2010. He was born November 17, 1927 to the late Tony and Christine (Docter) Gintner in Oshkosh. On November 19, 1949, Bob married Betty Johnson. They resided in Neenah, bringing up his family of 5 for the next 60 years. Bob proudly served in the military and was a World War II Veteran. He was employed with the Kimberly Clark Corp. for 40 years until his retirement in 1987. Bob is survived by his wife of 60 years, Betty; his sons: Tom (Linda), Randy (Lynn), Larry (Special Friend Marcia), and Mark (Gail); and his daughter Cherryl (Special Friend Dave) Pratt. He is further survived by 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his step-mother, Josephine; step-brothers: Ralph, Fritz, Lester, and Harlan; and a step-sister, Eleanor. Bobs passion for racing was passed on to his children, along with his love for NASCAR. He could be seen weekly at the Thursday Night Races and enjoyed many years of watching his sons race at local tracks. He enjoyed working with leather when he wasnt making any home improvements or working on his cars. Bob was a man who could do anything and shared his knowledge generously with his family and friends. He will be remembered for his dedication to family and devotion to his wife, visiting her daily at Vallhaven Care Center. His endless support and love will be missed by many and he will be remembered always, and forever loved by his friends and family. The funeral service for Bob will be held Saturday, February 13, 2010 at 4:00 P.M. at Neenahs Westgor Funeral Home, Rev. Battista Ceresero officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of service at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Monday, February 15, 2010 at 1:00 P.M.
