IRENE SMITH

Irene Margaret Smith, age 88, of Neenah passed away peacefully on March 9, 2013. She was born June 22, 1924 in Racine, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Stephen and Mary (Vareb) Horvath. On November 27, 1943 Irene married Richard Smith who preceded her in death on February 16, 2009. Irene enjoyed farming, gardening, cooking, and baking. She was an avid fisherwoman. Irene was known for her beautiful smile and friendly disposition. She will sadly be missed by her daughter, Patricia (Richard) Furuglyas, Racine,WI; her son, Richard (Gisela) Smith, Crivitz, WI; six grandchildren; several great grandchildren; a sister, Mary Kowalsky. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Joseph Horvath Sr. and Stephen Horvath. The Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 15, 2013, at Westgor Funeral Home in Neenah. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10:15 a.m. until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established in Irenes name.
