BERNICE KEHL

Bernice Kehl, 87, of Neenah, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at Theda Clark Medical Center under the care of Hospice. Bernice was born April 2, 1925, in Oshkosh, the daughter of the late William and Margaret (Steinhilber) Bahr. She was united in marriage to Robert Kehl on January 6, 1951, in Oshkosh. He preceded her in death March 10, 1978. Bernice was a homemaker and a very giving and caring person. She loved baking, sewing, needlework and cross-stitching. She was an avid reader, enjoying mysteries and history. Survivors include her daughters: Linda Kehl and Leanne Wentzel, of Neenah; grandchildren: Maggie Wentzel and Robert (Aleana) Wentzel; three great-grandchildren: Ila Reese, Parker, and Haylin; three sisters: Elaine Stephan, Pearl (Robert) Dawson, and JoAnn Guetzkow, all of Oshkosh; and many nieces and nephews. Bernice was preceded in death by her parents and husband; an infant daughter, Lori Jo; her son, Steven R. Kehl (2010); brother, Robert Bahr (2011); and brothers-in-law, Donald Stephan and Robert Guetzkow. The memorial service for Bernice will be Saturday, March 23, 2013, 11:00 a.m., at First United Methodist Church, 108 W. Doty Ave., Neenah, with Rev. Mark Geisthardt officiating. Visitation will begin Saturday at 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service at the church. Spring burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Neenah. The family would like to extend their thanks to the nurses and staff at Theda Clark Medical Center and Hospice for their kindness and compassion given to Bernice and her family.
