HARRY SCHOMMER

Harry L. Schommer, age 93, passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at Theda Clark Medical Center. He was born January 16, 1915 in Menasha, son of the late Lambert and Mary (Urban) Schommer. He married Dorothy Patterson on September 19, 1947. They shared 61 loving years together. Harry was employed by Kimberly-Clark Corporation for 36 years prior to his retirement in 1978. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and the Army Reserve Officer's Association. Harry proudly served three years in the U.S. Army and 15 years in the Army Reserve. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy, of Neenah. He was preceded in death by a brother, Oliver, and a sister, Lorraine Springborn. A Memorial Service for Harry will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 10, 2009, at First Presbyterian Church, Neenah, with The Rev. Richard J. Moore officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 1:00 PM until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church. The family would like to offer their gratitude to the staff at Valley VNA and the medical staff of Theda Clark Medical Center.
