Obituary
Richard W. "Dick" Talbott, age 77, of Appleton, passed away peacefully following a lengthy battle with Alzheimers. He was born June 22, 1931 in Greencastle, IN; son of the late Harrold and Dorothy (Williams) Talbott. Dick graduated from High School in Elkhart, IN. He then received his BS in marketing from Indiana University. During college Dick was enrolled in ROTC and upon graduating he entered the US Army as an officer. He started his career in insurance in Grand Rapids, MI, and then worked in Lansing, MI, Albany, NY and finally in Gainesville, FL. Dick also earned his CPCU during his career. Richard was a former member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Gainesville, FL, and a former Elks member in Lansing, MI. He enjoyed baseball and playing golf. Survivors include his son, Tim (Christie) Talbott, Menasha, WI; three grandchildren: Allyson Jeske, Benjamin Talbott and Zachary Talbott; and a brother, James (Jean) Talbott. A graveside service will be held in spring at Forest Hill Cemetery in Greencastle, IN.

Dear Tim, I just wanted to offer my condolences on the loss of your father. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this tough time. I've often thought about you and your family and wondered how everyone was doing. It's been a long time since we were neighbors, but I sure remember of all of the fun you and my brother Loren had playing around the neighborhood. Loren lives here in Lansing too.
