DORIS LAUX

Doris J. Laux, age 97 of Neenah, passed away suddenly on Saturday, November 2, 2024. She was born in Neenah on July 16, 1927 to the late Hubert and Ethel (Smith) Voss and on May 3, 1947 she married Donald Laux. 

Doris worked for many years and retired from American Can in 1988. She was a very creative woman with a passion for knitting. She was proficient at knitting baby clothing, sweaters, Afghan blankets, and innumerable socks.

Doris provided a foundation of kindness to all who became close to her. She was a woman that cherished being good to others, and especially those who were good to her. 

Doris is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Gene and Kathy Laux; grandchildren: Christopher (Rebecca) Laux, and Kelly (Chad) Quandt; and great-grandchildren: Vivienne and Gideon Laux. She is further survived by her brother-in-law, Ron Laux. Doris was preceded in death by her husband Don in 2011, and by her son, Steve.

A private family service will be held for Doris. She will join Don in rest at Oak Hill Cemetery in Neenah, Wisconsin.
