Obituary
Our lives will be forever changed with the loss of our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother Lucille McCutcheon.
Lucille M. McCutcheon, age 93, passed away peacefully late Friday, February 26, 2021 surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born March 15, 1927 and was raised by her loving parents Esther and Charles Dose in Two Rivers, Wisconsin. She met Odell “Stuart” McCutcheon at Bear Lake Campground during a family summer vacation prior to marrying on December 17, 1950. Bear Lake Campground remained a great place of joy for Lu and Stu and eventually their family. They treasured the friendships they made with the “Gang” at Bear Lake and it continued to be a place of joy for them and their entire family.
Lucille was very active with her volunteer work at Theda Clark Hospital Auxiliary and First Presbyterian Church in Neenah Wi where her and Stuart were long time members.
Following the passing of Stuart, Lucille was grateful for the years she lived at the Highlands where she was able to rekindle many of her longtime friendships from her Community.
The Highlands provided an atmosphere in which she could laugh and share memories. Especially during the weekly “coffees” in the Great Room.
Surviving Lucille is Her sister, Mildred (Millie) Gottlieb of Auburn Maine, Lucille's four children: Charles McCutcheon (Jenny); Thomas (Cheryl) McCutcheon; John (Trista) McCutcheon; and Mary Jo Dettlaff (Herb); four grandchildren: Christy (Kyle) Gagan; Lindsy (Jordan) Trundle; Ben McCutcheon; and Lea (Jason) Steltenpohl; and nine great-grandchildren.
A public visitation for Lucille will be held on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Westgor Funeral Home, 205 W Doty Avenue, Neenah, WI. A Private family memorial service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Neenah. Following the service, Lucille and Stuart will be laid to rest together at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Lucilles' family would like to extend a special thank you to Compassus Hospice as well as Deb and Warren Griffith for their exceptional care and support. You are all truly amazing and we will never forget all you did for Lucille in her time of need. May God bless all of you.
