LENA HINKLEY

Lena M. Hinkley, formerly of Milwaukee, passed away peacefully following a lengthy illness at Mathews Senior Living in Neenah. She was born June 12, 1927 in Norwalk, OH, daughter of the late Elmer and Mina (Dauch) McGuckin. Lena married George Hinkley on September 6, 1952. He preceded her in death in 1990. Lena enjoyed reading, making quilts, and knitting. All the children born into the family were blessed with sweaters and blankets lovingly crafted by her. She also donated her time and talents making hats and booties for newborns in local hospitals. Survivors include her three children: Bill (Jill) Hinkley, Neenah, Michael Hinkley, Vinton, VA, Lorie (Jack) Ellsworth, Bergen, NY; eight grandchildren: Rachel Hinkley, Scott (Kelsey) Hinkley, Tyson, Amanda, Gage and Nila Hinkley, Jack and Robert Ellsworth; a daughter-in-law, Mary Hinkley, Muskego, WI; a brother, Bob (Marie) McGuckin, Norwalk, OH; a sister-in-law, Betty McGuckin; and numerous nieces and nephews. Lena was preceded in death by a son, George; brothers Lambert, Elmer, and Jess McGuckin; sisters: Molly Molnar and Emma Cassidy; brother-in-laws James Cassidy and Pete Molnar; and sister-in-laws Florence McGuckin and Evie McGuckin. A private family service will be held for Lena. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. The family would like to thank the staff at Kilkenny Cottage for the kind and compassionate care they provided.
