HARVEY WERBELOW

Harvey Carl Werbelow, of Neenah, passed away after a courageous battle with heart disease on Wednesday, September 26, 2012, at the age of 83. He was born August 9, 1929, in Shawano, son of the late Charles and Martha (Kriewaldt) Werbelow. He married Joyce DeBraal on March 15, 1952 in Menasha. She preceded him in death in September of 2006. Harvey served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict era. He worked over 25 years at Central Paper in Menasha until his retirement in 1979 due to illness. Harvey will be dearly missed by his three sons: Jerry (Simone) Werbelow, New London, Denis (special friend Leslie) Werbelow, Appleton, Ron Werbelow, Neenah; two daughters: Mary (Paul) Aldinger, Appleton, Marge (Chuck) Mellen, Oshkosh; nine grandchildren: Julie, Carrie, Danny, Christopher, Joshua, Amber, Jeff, Luke, and Zachery; thirteen great-grandchildren; a brother, Roger (Mary) Werbelow, Clintonville; a sister, Sally (Roger) Schreiber, Appleton; brothers-in-law: Clayton Hogan, Seymour, and Raymond Nicholaus, Green Bay; and two sisters-in-law: Peg DeBraal, Menasha, Mary DeBraal, Kaukauna. Harvey was preceded in death by a grandson, Austin Werbelow; three sisters: Sadie Kratzke, Irene Nicholaus, Bernice Hogan; a brother, Elmer (Joan) Werbelow; and three brothers-in-law: Don, Tom and Ira DeBraal. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Neenahs Westgor Funeral Home. The visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Appleton.
