DORIS SPEAKES

Dori Patricia Speakes, of Neenah, age 67, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Wednesday, July 31, 2013. She was born November 20, 1945, in Appleton, daughter of the late Morris and Doris (Mulcahey) Warzinik. Dori married Wayne Speakes on June 23, 1983. Dori graduated from Neenah High School and then attended college in Montana. She returned to school in her 40's to complete her degree in History, graduating from UW-Oshkosh. She was a long-time employee of Neenah Foundry, continuing her career in procurement at Surface Mount Technology (SMT) until her retirement in 2010. Dori loved spending time with her grandchildren and helping them with homework. She enjoyed weekends at the cabin in Michigan, and was an avid reader, Green Bay Packers fan and gourmet cook. She enjoyed many more wins than losses as a gambler. Survivors include her husband, Wayne; a daughter, Tabatha Blazer and her partner Brent Bailey; four step-daughters: Wendy (Sher) Gulzad, Pam (Chris) Volk, Stacey (Mike) McGann, Jamie (Darren) Honer; three grandchildren: Brandon Blazer and partner Heather Michaelson, Meghan Blazer and partner Brad Olson and Trinity Mueller; and eight step-grandchildren: Francesca and Julianna Gulzad, Bailey, Caroline and Claire Volk, and Maggie, Katie and Cooper McGann. She was preceded in death by her brother, John Warzinik. A funeral service for Dori will be held at 7:00 PM on Sunday, August 4, 2013, at Neenahs Westgor Funeral Home, with The Rev. Martin Ruge officiating. The visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established in Dori's name.
