GENEVIEVE BENNETT

Genevieve I. Button Bennett, age 94, passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2009, at Theda Clark Medical Center. She was born on June 21, 1915 in West Bloomfield, WI; daughter of the late Charles and Lydia (Buchholz) Wendt. After the loss of her first husband of 51 years, Carl Button in 1988, she married Alvin Bennett, who survives her. She will be sadly missed by her children: Lee (Mary) Button, Jane Mrotek, Beth (Bob) Latshaw; grandchildren: Wendy (Mark) Holub, Laura Mrotek, Brad Button, Jared Button, Amy Latshaw; great-grandchild Hailey Holub; and daughter-in-law, Sally Button. In addition to her parents and her first husband, Carl Button, she was preceded in death by her son, Larry Button; grandchildren: Julie Mrotek, Sarah (Tom) School; son-in-law Dale Mrotek; daughter-in-law Patricia Button; as well as six brothers and sisters. A Private Family Service will be held for Gen. A memorial fund has been established in her name. The family would like to thank the staff at Peabody Manor, Dr. Brian Sears, and the staff at Theda Clark for their wonderful care and support through this difficult time.
