Obituary
Glendora B. Hoeper, age 88, passed away on Saturday morning, August 3, 2013 at her home. She was born on January 22, 1925 in the Town of Grover, Wisconsin, daughter of the late John and Lillie (Wagner) Ihde. Glendora attended primary school in a one-room rural school, and then graduated from Peshtigo High School in 1942. She furthered her education with one year in vocational school. After school she worked for nine years in the office at Badger Paper Mills in Peshtigo. In September of 1952 Glendora married James F. Hoeper and the couple moved to Neenah, Wisconsin where she worked for 18 years as an elementary school secretary, retiring in 1985. She was a long-time member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She loved sewing, cross-stitch, knitting, reading, doll collecting, and making angel food cakes for birthdays. She will be sadly missed by her children: Raymond J. Hoeper, Neenah, Kim S. Hoeper, Oshkosh, Amy L. Hoeper, Pewaukee; grandchildren: Sydney P. Hoeper, Neenah, Mason J. Hoeper, Neenah, Lillie V. Potter, Pewaukee; her sister, Carol (Leo) Dumke, Peshtigo; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her beloved husband, James, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Raymond and John Ihde. The Memorial service for Glendora will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church (200 N. Commercial Street) with Rev. Paul L. Holte officiating. Friends will be received at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service. She will be laid to rest in Oak Hill Cemetery, Neenah.
