ROSELLA HACKSTOCK

Rosella C. "Rose" Hackstock, age 89, of Menasha, died Saturday, January 3, 2015, in Appleton. She was born on June 8, 1925, in Menasha, daughter of the late Frank E. Hackstock Sr. and Mary (Florian) Hackstock. Rose attended St. Mary's Grade School and graduated from St. Mary's High School. She was also a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Menasha. Rose was employed with Theda Clark Hospital for many years. She enjoyed working with so many wonderful people. Rose then volunteered in the Gift Shop at Theda Clark and also at St. Joseph's Food Pantry. Rose is survived by her nieces and nephews: Sue Janssen, Little Chute; Kathy Albers, Hilbert; Joseph (Sheila) Muench, El Paso, TX; Tim (Trish) Muench, St. Germaine; Marne (Joe) Meyer, Green Bay; and Stacey (Mike) Spoehr, Appleton. She is also survived by many great-nieces and great-nephews, as well as Ken Van Eperen, Little Chute, and Linda Muench, Appleton, and many dear friends. Rose was preceded in death by her sisters: Gertrude (Norb "Fuzzy") Janssen, Florence (Louie) Albers, Verna (Albert) Muench; a brother, Frank Jr. "Bob" (Shirley) Hackstock; a niece, Lea Ann Van Eperen; and a nephew, Terry Albers. The Mass of Resurrection will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2015, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 528 Second St., Menasha, with Fr. Larry Canavera officiating. The visitation will be held at the church from 10:30 a.m. until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established in her name. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery in Menasha. Rose's family wishes to thank the many good and generous neighbors and friends who went to such great efforts to help Rose stay in her home by delivering meals, shoveling snow, providing lawn care and many visits. We would also like to thank Kristen from Home Instead, whom she felt was like a daughter to her.
