MARY WILLES

Mary Ellen Willes, age 72, of Menasha passed away on Friday, January 9, 2015 at Appleton Medical Center with her loving family at her side. She was born on April 10, 1942 in Menasha, daughter of the late Kenneth P. and Veronica M. (DeWildt) Pakalski. She grew up in Menasha and graduated from St. Mary's Catholic School. On September 12, 1964 she married Ervin D. Willes at St. Mary Catholic Church, Menasha. Their marriage was blessed with 6 children, 14 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and a wonderful celebration of 50 years, this past September. Mary was a crossing guard for Menasha for 20 plus years, and also worked at Dick and Joan's Supper Club. She was a long-time member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Menasha. Mary was an avid Packers fan, she loved walks on the trestle bridge, card club on Wednesday nights, and Friday Fish at Dick and Joan's. Her legacy lives on through beautiful memories, which will be cherished by her family. She will be sadly missed by her husband, Ervin; children: Fred (Kay), Rod (Angela), Tony (Lisa), Alisa (David Stammer), Jim (Kelly), Jessie (Allen); 14 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brothers: Paul, David (Wanda); a sister, Sandy; brothers-in-law: Dick (Shirley); Bill (Mavis); close friends: Gus, Linda, Maggie; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her parents-in-law, Gus and Anna Marks; and her Godson, Mark Berens. The Funeral Mass for Mary will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Father Jim Hablewitz and Mary Krueger, Pastor Leader will officiate. Friends will be received on Thursday, directly at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Mary's name. The family would like to thank Dr. Ferrante, Dr. Mielke, Dr. Knaus, and the staffs of Appleton Medical Center, I.C.U, and Theda Clark 5th floor for your exceptional care and compassion.
