DARYL MADSEN

Daryl Irwin Madsen, age 91 of Neenah went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Saturday May 2, 2015, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 7, 1923 in Meadowland, MN to the late Forrest and Frances Madsen. He was a graduate of Rhinelander High School, class of 1942. He proudly served his country from 1942 to 1946 in the Army Air Force in the Pacific Theatre. Daryl worked for Kimberly Clark Corporation for 42 years. His passion and hobbies were gardening, woodworking down in his shop, wood splitting, biking and x-country skiing. On May 22, 1948 he married Marian Kathrine Wautlet the love of his life for the past 67 years. He will be missed dearly by his 6 sons: Nels (Gloria), Donald (Cathy), Michael (Karen), Gary (Linda), Mark (Nina) and Larry (Margo), his 2 daughters: Beth Ann (Gary) Sonnenberg and Amy Ogg. He enjoyed the time with his 30 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren. In additions to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Barbara Rose, brother Kenneth and his 3 sisters: Lee, Lois and Janice. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday May 8, 2015 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 809 South Commercial Street, Neenah. Visitation will be from 9:00 until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Affinity Hospice for their care and the staff at the VNA in Neenah for the past 6 years of comfort and caring support.
