Obituary
Lucille “Lucy, Lu, GrandmaLuLu” Jacobs, age 93, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at St. Elizabeth Hospital on Friday, March 12, 2021. She was greeted in heaven by her beloved husband of 71 years, Donald “Jake” Jacobs. Lu has resided at Island Shores in Neenah for the last 3 1/2 years. Lucille Mary was born to the late Joseph and Minnie (Hooyman) Weyenberg on July 19, 1927 and was united in marriage to Don on June 25, 1946.
She is survived by her daughters: Donna (Jim) Schumacher, Sally Erdman, Linda (Howard) Abel; sons: William Jacobs, James (Dar) Jacobs, Brian (Paula) Jacobs; sisters, Marion Schumacher, Florus Schumacher, and Marlene Sutheimer; as well as 18 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, Lucille was preceded in death by three infant brothers: Joseph, Billy, and Daniel; as well as son-in-law, Jon Erdman.
A private family funeral mass will be held at a later date. She will be laid to rest at St. Margaret Cemetery in Neenah.
