KENNETH AASEBY

Kenneth John Aaseby, age 82, passed away on Monday, February 23, 2015 in Menasha, WI. He died in his home with the comfort of his family by his side. Loving husband to Karrie (Jothen) for nearly 52 years. Loving father to his cherished daughters Maren (Jeff Lang), Kay Aaseby and Kris Kutschera. Proud and grateful grandfather to Maya Aaseby, Taylor Lang; and Kalle, Leif and Karsten Kutschera. Ken is further survived by his sister Marlene (Ralph Zick) and brother Jerry, his nieces and family and friends. Ken had a strong love and pride for his Country and what it represents and was thankful for the mutual love of both Jesus and his family. Ken was born on July 26, 1932 to John and Grace (Thompson) Aaseby. He grew up in Whitefish Bay, WI and graduated high school in 1950. He was honored to serve his country and was a member of the American Legion in Milwaukee and Minocqua. A plasterer by trade, Ken worked proudly side by side with father at John M. Aaseby Lathing & Plastering Contractors for over 20 years and later went into real estate. Ken was devout in his Lutheran faith and was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church in Minocqua, WI and First English Lutheran Church in Appleton, WI. Ken was a sports enthusiast, avidly cheering on the Badgers and Brewers. He just as enthusiastically followed his daughters' sports activities and enjoyed his grandchildrens' activities and performances. Close to his heart were special family memories at "The Point" on the clear waters of White Sand Lake in Lac du Flambeau, WI. A special thanks to Theda Care for their care and support. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 28th, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. at First English Lutheran Church, 326 E. North Street, Appleton WI. Visitation is at 10:30 and lunch will be served following the service. In lieu of flowers, support for the Boys and Girls Club of the Fox Valley would be warmly appreciated.
