LOREN ANDERSON

Loren R. Anderson, of Menasha, age 81, passed away Monday, March 9, 2015, at Theda Clark Medical Center. Loren was born December 22, 1933 in Neenah, son of the late Gilbert and Viola (Koehler) Anderson. He married Jacqueline (Clark) Anderson on March 23, 1980. She preceded him in death on January 20, 2014. Loren was retired from George A. Whiting Paper Company where he was a Dye Specialist. He served in the US Army, where he developed his passion for cooking. Until his death he was always cooking and sharing recipes with others. In addition, to his passion for cooking was his love of gardening and animals. Through the years he had many dogs that were well trained and special in their own way. His best pal at the time of his death was Neiko, a beautiful kind husky who patiently waited by the foot of Loren's chair during each hospitalization. Loren will be sorely missed by all who knew this kind, gentle, generous soul with a quirky sense of humor. Survivors include a brother, Donald (Shirley) Anderson (Eugene, OR), many local nieces and nephews, and close relations Jean and Ken Laurence (Harleysville, PA) Loren was preceded in death by a step-son, James Petty; a brother, Giles Anderson and three sisters: Nondas Kay Soik, Shirley Mae Lopas, and Viola Anderson. As requested by Loren no service will be held. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Oshkosh.
