BERT JONELY

Bert C. Jonely, age 84 of Menasha, passed away at St. Elizabeth Hospital on Thursday, March 26, 2015 after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. He was born November 12, 1930 to the late Berthold and Marjorie (Engel) Jonely. He was a proud veteran of the Korean War. On May 22, 1965 he was united in marriage to Betty Zink at United Church of Christ in Oshkosh. A self-taught mechanic, Bert had a knack for rebuilding anything from a toaster to a tractor and was employed by Kimberly-Clark Lakeview Mill for over 40 years. He enjoyed woodworking, metalworking, and countless do-it-yourself projects. He also had a passion for polka music and polka dancing. Bert will be sadly missed by his wife of almost 50 years, Betty; his son, Michael (Jeanne) Jonely and his grandson, Preston; as well as his brother-in-law, Gerald (Yvonne) Zink. The Funeral Service for Bert will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 200 N. Commercial St., Neenah. A visitation will be held at church from 9:30 A.M. until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in Bert's name. Bert's family would like to extend a warm thank you to the nurses and staff at Gardens of Fountain Way for their excellent care and compassion throughout his three year stay.
