HARRY SHERWOOD

Harry Sherwood passed away peacefully at Bridgewood Nursing Home, Neenah, Wisconsin the morning of April 21, 2015 at the age of 90. Harry was born December 21, 1924 in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. He was the son of Harry Sr. and Mabel Sherwood. Harry grew up in Crawford County Wisconsin with his sister Mabel and many close cousins. Harry moved to Neenah in 1953 to begin his sales career at Hewitt Transmission. Later, he became the company pilot, Sales Manager and President. In 1991 he retired to a life of pursuing his many interests, including family life, motorcycling, golf, and skiing. He was a member of the Twin Cities Lodge of Freemasons in Neenah and Tripoli Shrine Center in Milwaukee. Harry is survived by his wife Barbara; sons: Dennis (Jackie), Alan (Charlene), and Jeff; granddaughters: Brittney, Lana, Lisa (Steve); grandson, Vance; a great grandson. He is further survived by his sister, Mabel Christensen, Racine; niece, Cherie; and also numerous cousins, relatives, and many special friends. A celebration of his life will be held on Monday, May 11, 2015, at 11:00 AM at St. Paul's Lutheran Church (200 N. Commercial St., Neenah) with Pastor Paul L. Holte officiating. Friends will be received at the church from 9:30 AM until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
