MARY CARD

Mary Francis Card, age 73, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Appleton. She was born on December 29, 1941 in Wausau, WI; daughter of the late Sylvester and Eileen (Norton) Koperski. On August 6, 1982 she was married to James M. Card, Sr. at St. Thomas Church in Menasha. Mary worked at the James River Co. in Menasha, retiring in 1982. She just loved taking care of children, including traveling, boating and camping with her grandchildren and foster children. Loving wife, mother and grandmother, she will be sadly missed by her husband, Jim Card, Sr., Greenville; daughter, Brenda Roberts, Little Chute; step-children: Jim (Jill) Card, Jr., Appleton and Cheryl Card, Neenah; grandchildren: Brandon and Krysta Roberts, Jensen (John) Yandre Lewis, Chrissy (Dan) Ihde, Valerie (Brian) Figy, Bonnie (Larry) Van Wychen and Robert Card; 18 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law: Claire Koperski, Vickie Card, Joan Pothero and Rosie Card and by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Dustin Roberts; brother, Jerry Koperski and a brother-in-law, Tom Card. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Thomas Church, 226 Washington St., Menasha. The Rev. Ralph Osbourne will officiate. Family and friends may visit at the church on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will take place in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in her name. Mary's family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses and staffs of St. Paul Home, Brewster Village and St. Elizabeth Hospital for their compassion and care.
