DONALD RATZBURG

Donald Ratzburg, age 89, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 28, 2018, while under the care of Matthews Senior Living and Compassus Hospice Services.  He was born on October 29, 1928 to Adolph and Laura (Radtke) Ratzburg in Neenah, Wisconsin.  He was confirmed in his Lutheran faith on April 18, 1943 at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Neenah where he remained a member until his death. 

Don served his country in the U.S. Army in Germany during the end of the Korean War.  After his service, he worked for Kimberly Clark at the Lakeview Plant until his retirement.  He was a very talented and intellectual man who loved astronomy, photography and travel.   

Don was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Kenneth C. Ratzburg and sister-in-law Margaret (Hoehne) Ratzburg.  He is survived by his nieces: Bonnie (David) Voight of Winchester; Dr. Susan A. Ratzburg of Wautoma; Cindy (Mick) Kronberg of Larsen; and Pam Leifer of Wautoma, and numerous great-nieces and nephews.  Don is also lovingly remembered by the staff who cared for him at Island Shores and Matthews Senior Living. 

A Victory Celebration for Don will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 31, 2018 at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, 407 Oak Street, Neenah with Rev. Tony McKenzie officiating.  Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are appreciated to Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, Neenah.
