EILEEN OLMSTED

Eileen Marie Olmsted, age 69, passed away at her home on Saturday, May 23, 2015. She was born on June 6, 1945 in Manawa, WI; daughter of the late Ed and Gert (Schramm) Griffin. On October 2, 1965, she was united in marriage to David Olmsted. Eileen battled with health issues for most of her life. As a 27 year recipient of donated organs, she enjoyed a long life and the time she got to spend with her family. She will deeply missed by her husband, David Olmsted, Neenah; daughter, Cindy (Rueben) Jackson, S. Elgin, IL and their daughter, Jada; brothers and sister: Jim Griffin, Bernice (Duncan) Beck and Bob (Diane) Griffin; and a brother-in-law, Keith (Joan) Olmsted. Eileen was preceded in death by her parents; a stillborn son; sisters: Shirley Griffin and Anna Mae (George) Archambeau and a brother-in-law, Bob (Audrey) Olmsted. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 900 Geiger St., Neenah. The Rev. Larry Seidl will officiate. Family and friends may visit on Wednesday from 4:00 - 7:30 p.m. at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home. A vigil service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. There will also be a time of visitation at the church on Thursday from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. Burial will take place in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Neenah. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in her name. Eileen's family would like to extend a hearfelt thank you to the doctors, nurses and staffs of the U. W. Hospital, Madison, Froedert Mem. Hospital, Milwaukee and Theda Clark for their wonderful care and compassion. Also, a special thanks to the Ziemmer family for their loving gift of life by donating their son's organs.
