HARLAND GOLDSCHMIDT

Harland C. "Goldy" Goldschmidt, 81, of Neenah, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 8, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Hospital. He was born on October 17, 1933; son of the late Henry and Verna (Krepline) Goldschmidt. On September 22, 1962, he was married to Sharon Beilke at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brillion. He honorably served his country with the U.S. Army. Goldy enjoyed to garden, watch the birds in his yard, and to spend time at the Pine Grove campgrounds in Shawano. But most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren and devoted his time to them and their activities. He was a volunteer fire fighter with the Brillion Fire Department from 1965 - 1988, a member of the Neenah American Legion Post 33 and also a member of the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Greenville. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Sharon Goldschmidt, Neenah; daughter, Lorrie (Ed) Muth, Neenah and their son, Taylor; son, Brian (Chris) Goldschmidt, Neenah and their children, Megan and Aaron; sisters, Diane Sittman and Lorraine Goldschmidt, both of Brillion; sisters-in-law, Nancy Aplin and Jane (Lloyd) Huebner; brother-in-law, Oscar (Mary) Beilke and by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant sister; father and mother-in-law, Oscar (Vi) Beilke and a brother-in-law, Jerome Aplin. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, N1615 Meadowview Dr., Greenville. Family and friends may visit at the church on Thursday from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. Full military honors will be held at the church after the service. A memorial fund is being established in his name. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staffs of the E.R. and the I.C.U. at St. Elizabeth Hospital for their wonderful care and compassion.
