DAVID MIRACLE

Reverend David R. Miracle, of Milwaukee, age 72, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 18, 2015. He was born March 10, 1943 in Neenah, WI, son of the late Robert and Virginia (Leicher) Miracle. David graduated from Neenah High School, attended the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and served in the United States Air Force. He was a graduate of Nashotah House Episcopal Seminary and served as a priest of St. Mary of the Snows, Eagle River, All Saints Church, Brooklyn New York, St. Nicholas, Racine and in retirement served multiple other parishes. He has also served as the Chaplain for the Freemasons lodge as a fourth generation Mason. David demonstrated the virtues of God's love by showing compassion for all and reaching out to those in need. He strived to live by 1 Cor. 13. He is survived by three children: Virginia (Mark) MacDonald, Toronto, April (Scott) Charlton, North Carolina, Brian Miracle, Milwaukee; Two step-children: Paul (Darcy) Alatalo, Muskego, Julie (Tim) Wessel, Milwaukee; his first wife, Jia Hway Hwang, Portland, OR; second wife, Ginny Miracle, Milwaukee; nine grandchildren: Rose (May Li), Brenna, and Blake MacDonald, Cody, Jayda, and Jordan Charlton, Cayman Alatalo, and Natalie and Nathan Wessel; two brothers: Richard (Shirley) Miracle, Nebraska, Robert (Sherry) Miracle, Appleton; one sister, Mary (Mark) Skinner, Florida; one sister-in-law, Margaret Miracle, Neenah; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; all who loved him deeply. David was preceded in death by a brother, Daniel Miracle and a sister, Carol (Tom) Danner. A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, June 27, 2015, at St. Thomas Church, 226 Washington St., Menasha, with The Rev. William Johnston officiating. The visitation will be held at the church from 1:00 PM until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Thomas Church.
