ELAINE ANDERSON

Elaine was called to her heavenly home on December 3, 2020, after contracting COVID. 

Elaine was born in McAllister, Wisconsin to Roy & Margaret Meyers.  She spent her youth growing up on the family farm, helping with the chores and her younger siblings.   

Elaine married the love of her life, Warren “Bud” Anderson on May 21, 1946.   They had three children, Wayne, Ronald, and Dennis; and were blessed with multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Elaine was a very caring person, always helping and volunteering.  Her church and career were very important to her.   She taught 4-H sewing, was involved in the PTA, was a member of the Lioness Club, and was a lifelong member of VFW auxiliary.   As a member of Grace Lutheran Church she taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and was involved with the Ladies Aid.  She made MANY pies and various crafts for all the fundraisers. Her first job was at the ration board during World War II and her last job was as postmaster in Seney, Michigan.  After retirement she volunteered at the Seney National Wildlife Refuge working in the Visitor's Center assisting with presentations, talking to visitors and in the gift shop.

Elaine loved crafting and baking.  She knit, crocheted, quilled, embroidered, macramed, and sewed.  There wasn't a craft she wouldn't try and she excelled at them.  She also made the best pies ever and always supplied a great many to various fundraisers.  Elaine also made the best fruitcake and Christmas candies.

Elaine is survived by her son, Dennis (Marcia) Anderson; and daughters-in-law, Gloria (Wayne) Anderson & Carrie (Ron) Anderson; her grandchildren: Keith Anderson and his children, Brandon, Alyssa, and Cody; Kevin (Lisa) Anderson and their children, Austen, Tyler, and Hunter; Kimberly (Chris) Schrafer, and their child, Riley; Ron (Nicole) Anderson and their child, C.J.; Lisa (Andy) Jones and their children, Wyatt, Elliot, and Wesley; Scott (Calista) Anderson and their child, Bailey; Corey Anderson; Jacob (Holly Lindsey) Anderson; and Judson (Laura) Anderson and their children, Brynn and Everett. She is further survived by her sister, Janet Havel; her brother, Loren “Larry” Meyers; sister-in-laws: Jessie (Bob) Meyers; Pat (Glenn) Meyers; and Marilyn (Howard) Anderson.

Elaine was preceeded in death by her parents, Roy & Margaret Meyers; her husband, Warren “Bud” Anderson; her two sons, Wayne Anderson & Ronald Anderson; and her brothers: Bob Meyers, Glenn Meyers, & Elwood Meyers.

We want to extend our many thanks to the doctors, nurses, and hospital staff at Theda Clark Hospital in Neenah, the staff off Emerald Ridge, and the staff of Heartland Hospice for their care and comfort to Elaine.
