JOANN DVORACHEK

JoAnn Dvorachek, age 61, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2015. She was born in Milwaukee on January 2, 1954, the daughter of the late Gerald and the late Beverly (Ranscht) Koch. She graduated from Homestead High School in Mequon, Wisconsin class of 1972. JoAnn met Mike while working as a Nurse's Aide and they were married on August 9, 1975 at St. James Catholic Church in Mequon, WI. JoAnn earned her Nursing degree from Milwaukee County General Hospital in 1977. After 3 years working as a Registered Nurse at Milwaukee County Hospital, she cared for the most critically ill people in the Cardiac Critical Care Unit at St Luke's Hospital in Milwaukee. JoAnn followed her husband's career move to Neenah, Wisconsin in 1980 and worked in the ICU at Theda Clark for 12 years. She finished her career at Davis County Hospital in Layton, UT in 2000. JoAnn excelled at providing many new experiences for her children through sports, scouting, music and the arts. Her time was generously volunteered at Lakeview School in Neenah, supporting her kid's elementary years. She especially enjoyed camping, summer vacations fishing on Fay Lake in Northern Wisconsin, and visiting National Parks out west. JoAnn loved caring for animals of all types, and supported many animal shelters and rescue organizations. She is survived by her husband, Mike; 3 children: Benjamin of Neenah, Sarah of Roseville, MN, Katrina of Tooele, UT; brother, John (Vicky) Koch of Hartford, WI. JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents, Beverly and Gerald Koch. The Funeral Service for JoAnn will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church (200 N. Commercial St., Neenah) with Rev. Sandra Crase officiating. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home, and again on Wednesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Town of Clayton Cemetery (7890 County Hwy. T, Larsen). Memorial gifts will be given to local animal shelters and rescue organizations.
