IDA ROBINSON

Ida L. Robinson of Menasha passed away on September 25, 2015 after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer with her loving husband, Tom, by her side. She was born on November 12, 1947, the daughter of Emerald and Luella (Zeamer) Ossmann. She had a good Christian upbringing at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Shirley, WI. She attended Immanuel Grade School and graduated from East De Pere High School. On November 7, 1969 she married Thomas (Tinker) Robinson at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Shirley, WI. After marriage, she was welcomed to Bethel Lutheran Church in Menasha, WI. Ida served on the altar committee and was an active Ladies Guild member. She enjoyed her new friendships through her job at Equitable Reserve Association. Ida enjoyed vacations to state parks, waterfalls, national parks, Canadian Rockies and to Alaska. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren participate in sports and their school activities, especially the Christmas services and Voices for Jesus. She enjoyed volunteering at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran School. In her free time, she knit over 150 hats for Theda Clark Nursery. She was also part of the Live Strong and Stay Strong family at the YMCA. She enjoyed sewing and cooking for her family and baking with her grandchildren. Ida always put her family first. Ida is survived by her husband, Thomas, four sons and 10 grandchildren. Lance (Mari) Robinson, their children: Sara, Rebecca and Elizabeth Schramm; Chad (Tara) Robinson, their children: Mikayla, Mariah, Monica; Brent Robinson, his children: Brady and Sophia and their mother Stephanie Robinson; and Ryan (Mary) Robinson and their twins Emma and Wesson. Her mother Luella Ossmann, three brothers: Donald (Joyce) Ossmann, Ted (Lana) Ossmann and Paul (Debbie) Ossmann, De Pere. Several nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Emerald Ossmann. The Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 29, 2015, at Bethel Ev. Lutheran Church, 829 Appleton Rd., Menasha, with The Rev. Samuel Degner officiating. The visitation will be held on Monday evening from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Menasha's Westgor Funeral Home, and again at the church on Tuesday from 9:00 AM until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established for the Bethel Lutheran Church - Narthex Fund. A special thanks to the Dr. Bar-Lev and his assistant, Dr. Guenther and his assistant as well as Dr. Munson and his assistant. Thank you to the wonderful hospice staff at AMC. A grateful thanks to all the special people on floors 7 and 8 at AMC for their wonderful treatment of Ida.
