ROBERT BECKMAN

Robert J. Beckman, age 78, of Menasha passed away on Thursday morning, October 15, 2015 at Oakridge Gardens Nursing Center. He was born on August 12, 1937 in Appleton, son of the late Eric and Luella (Watten) Beckman. As a child, Robert attended St. Mary's School. After school, he proudly served his country with the U.S. Army National Guard. He married Margo Kuhr on February 29, 1968 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Menasha. She preceded him in death on September 19, 2015. Robert was a practical joker, loved woodworking, and was passionate about cooking shows. He is survived by his sister, Mary Jane Young, Neenah; a sister-in-law, Kay Kuhr, Menasha; 2 nieces; 2 nephews; other relatives and friends; and his Pomeranian, Maggie. Per Robert's wishes, no service will be held. He and Margo will be inurned at Resthaven Cemetery, Menasha. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established. The family would like to thank Bridgewood Nursing and Rehab, Oakridge Gardens, Heartland Hospice, Dr. Knaus, and the Neenah Dialysis Center for all of the care and compassion shown to Robert.
