BERTHA JUNGE

Bertha Dorothea Krueger Junge passed peacefully into eternal life on Thursday, October 22, 2015. She was born January 11, 1931 in South Chicago, IL daughter of the late, Julian and Martha Krueger. Since early childhood she dreamed of becoming a nurse. She graduated from Chicago's Augustana Hospital School of Nursing in 1953 and was especially proud of the work she did as a psychiatric nurse. On September 4, 1954 she married James Edward Junge of Appleton at St Paul Lutheran Church in Neenah. They lived and raised 4 children in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death on May 24, 1994. Bertha was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. She cared deeply for many close relatives and friends. She will be greatly missed by her three children: Teri Junge, Theodore (Ann-Marie) Junge, Elizabeth (Martin) Eisel; her grandchildren: Amanda Junge, Dathan Junge, Jamie Junge and James Junge; a cousin, Karl Stock; nephews and nieces. Preceded in death by her sister, Lydia (Ralph) Austin; and a son, Lawrence (Lisa) Junge. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 31, 2015 in the Star of Hope Chapel at Highland Memorial Park, 3131 N. Richmond St., Appleton. The visitation will be held in the chapel from Noon until the hour of service.
