September 24, 1938 - January 19, 2016
Obituary
Bryce Robert Adie, age 77, of Neenah passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at Bella Vista Residence in Oshkosh, following a hard-fought one year battle with brain cancer. He was born in Flint, Michigan on September 24, 1938, son of the late Bryce and Joan (Head) Adie. Bryce was as stubborn as the English and as tough as the Scots. He was a Boy Scout, and had a paper route that paid for ¼ of his college tuition. Bryce graduated from the University of Michigan in 1960 with a Bachelor of Business Administration and went on to earn his MBA from the University of Tennessee. On October 8, 1966 he married Edith C. Roper in Bay City, Michigan. Their marriage was blessed with two sons and 49 wonderful years. Bryce worked for Kimberly-Clark from 1969 – 1974 in the Human Resources Department, which moved Bryce and Edie to Neenah. Bryce went on to serve as the Vice President of Human Resources at Wisconsin Tissue Mills from 1974 until his retirement in 1998, and stayed on as a consultant until 2010. Bryce was proud to be a Boy Scout Leader. He loved golfing, camping, and travelling the United States with Edie in their motor home for many years.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Edith; his sons: Paul Robert (Elvina) Adie, Pembroke Pines, Florida, Thomas Michael Adie, Neenah; a grandson, Bryce Thomas Adie; a brother, Jim (Peggy) Adie. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John Adie.
A Celebration of Bryce's life will be held on Sunday, January 24, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. at Living Vine Community Church (402 N. Commercial St., Neenah) with Rev. Matt Zodrow officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in Bryce's name.
The family would like to thank the staffs of Bella Vista and Compassus Hospice for all of their care and compassion.
