RANDELL BENGEL

Randy K. Bengel, age 56, was called home to glory on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 after a five and a half year battle with Multiple Myeloma.  He was born on August 7, 1959 to the late Edwin Bengel and Janice Pilcher.  Randy graduated from Menasha High School in 1978 and went on to work at IPG (Central Paper) for 33 years, where his coworkers nicknamed him “Rookie”.  He married Bonnie Damsheuser on September 26, 1981 at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church in Appleton.  Randy always had a strong faith and was a longtime member at Bethel Ev. Lutheran Church in Menasha.  He enjoyed being active in the church by serving on numerous committees through the years. Randy was very much an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He was always a big fan of the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Cubs.  Randy was an outgoing person who enjoyed talking with others and being around friends and family.  He will be dearly missed by all that knew him.

Randy is survived by his wife Bonnie Bengel; son Brett (Adrienne) Bengel and their children Colvin and Eden Bengel; son Eric (Kelsey) Bengel and their daughter Kinley.  He is further survived by his mother Janice (Curt) Pilcher; sister Becky Zaddack (Rob Drummond); brother Rick (Stacy) Bengel; mother-in-law Joyce Damsheuser; brothers and sisters-in-law: Gary Damsheuser, Steve (Becky) Nowak, Randy (Pam) Damsheuser, Charlie (Connie) Damsheuser, and Guy (Sue) Damsheuser; as well as many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Edwin Bengel; grandparents Edward and Bernice Jurek and Herman and Adeline Bengel; father-in-law Orrin Damsheuser; and many other relatives.

Visitation for Randy will be held at Menasha's Westgor Funeral Home, 1140 Appleton Road, Menasha on Sunday, December 27, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A Christian Funeral Servicewill be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 28, 2015 at Bethel Ev. Lutheran Church, 829 Appleton Road, Menasha.  An additional time of visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of the service.    

Randy's family would like to thank Dr. Phillips, the staff at Fox Valley Hematology and Oncology, and the 7th floor staff at AMC for all of their wonderful care.   

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to Bethel Narthex Building Fund or Multiple Myeloma Research Fund.
