Obituary
Mabel Ardell Sargent, age 84, went home to be with the Lord on February 19, 2016.
Mabel was born on March 12, 1931 in Wittenburg, WI to Gustav and Lilly (Linsten) Carlson. Mabel was united in marriage to Robert Sargent on July 23, 1953.
Mabel enjoyed playing bingo, walking in the park, time at Dixie's cottage, driving a golf cart, and snowmobiling. She was a member of Calvary Bible Church in Neenah and loved volunteering for the Double Portion ministry at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Menasha.
She is survived by her sister Betty Lou (Art) Wanless, sons Dwight (Patti), Duane (Lori), Dean (Janell), and daughter Deanna (Shawn) Ryan. Also grandchildren; Melissa, Nathan, Dana, Trevor, and Samantha.
Mabel is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Everett, Elmer, Edfurd, and sisters Lee Ila, and Margaret.
The funeral service will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday, February 25, 2016, at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home in Neenah. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4:00 PM until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials will be given to Double Portion, 226 Washington St. Menasha, WI 54952.
The family would like to thank Dr. Kumar, Dr. Nonn, Nurse Jenni and Nurse Amy for their incredible compassion and care.
