MICHAEL LEROY

Michael J. LeRoy, age 69, of Neenah passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Theda Clark Medical Center. He was born on August 8, 1946 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, son of the late Bernard F. and Helen M. (Scheer) LeRoy. Mike graduated from Menasha High School in 1964. He furthered his education at the University of Wyoming, earning a Bachelor's Degree in 1968. On October 2, 1976 Mike married Barbara L. Pingel in Neenah, Wisconsin. Their marriage was blessed with a daughter, three sons, and 39 wonderful years. Mike retired from Fox Valley Technical College where he worked as a Criminal Justice Instructor. In his younger years, Mike was an avid baseball and softball player. He loved all sports, including golf, bowling, skiing, and fishing. Mike also enjoyed cooking. He will be remembered as a fun-loving Jokester; having a very unique sense of humor; and above all, he was a man who loved his family with all his heart.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Barb; his children: Jason (Robyn) LeRoy, Appleton, Jennifer (Jesse) Miller, Neenah, Ben (Emily) LeRoy, Neenah, Josh LeRoy, Chandler, Arizona; grandchildren: Lauren LeRoy; Payton and Max Miller; Parker and Elsie LeRoy; and one more grandbaby on the way; his brother, Paul (Mary Spilski) LeRoy, Menasha; sisters: Mary (Doug) Jirovetz, Oshkosh, Muggs (Gary) Buss, Neenah; an aunt, Marion Scheer, Menasha; siblings-in-law: Kathy Breitreiter, Green Bay, Chuck Pingel, Oshkosh, Connie Pingel, Menasha; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his parents-in-law, John and Helen Pingel; and an uncle, Johnny Scheer.

The Funeral Service for Michael will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Mike's name.
