VIRGINIA KOPITZKE

Virginia Kopitzke, age 89, of Menasha, WI passed away on March 30, 2016 at Atrium (Vallhaven Care Center) in Neenah, WI. She was born at home on February 23, 1927 in Oak Center, WI. the daughter of Lucille Bork and Richard Capelle.

 When young, Ginny worked at Menasha Button Factory and as a crossing guard for the Menasha Police Department. Later she became a nurse's aide for many years at Theda Clark Hospital and then the Outagamie County Health Facility.

 She had a green thumb and loved flowers, especially her roses. She also was an excellent cook and baker. Fresh breads and pies were her specialty and everyone's delight. Betty and Willy, her two cats, lived with her for many years. Ginny enjoyed spending her summers at her trailer in Wild Rose, WI where her brother, Richard, and sister, Ella, also owned trailers.

 She is survived by her five children: Dyan Kopitzke of Lodi; Sally Lamers of New London; Delmar Jr., Rocky, Kopitzke (Barb) of Dale; Cheryl Cheslock (Joe) of Appleton; and Byron, Barney, Kopitzke of Menasha, WI. She has 7 grandchildren: Ryan Lamers, Chad Lamers, Kevin Lamers; Jason Kopitzke, Jazmyne Kopitzke; Stephanie Cheslock; Jordan Kopitzke. Also surviving are her two sisters, Ella Meier, Evie Wyngard; and a brother, Richard Capelle. Ginny had many nephews and nieces she loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Delmar Kopitzke; step-brothers, Al Collien, Eddie Collien; step-sister, Joyce Hatzinger; brothers, Al Capelle, Frank Capelle.

Virginia will join her husband at the Shrine of Heaven Mausoleum in Neenah, WI. There will be no formal service as requested by Ginny, but a celebration of life will be held in May for family and friends.
