Obituary
Germaine “Gerry” Marie Gilbertson, passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at Brookdale, Neenah, where she had resided for the last three years. She was born in Neenah on August 16, 1922 to Edward and Marie (Strelow) Richter. She graduated from Neenah High School and worked as a secretary for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Myrtle Smongeski, a niece Kim, numerous loving pets, and her wonderful husband, R.E. “Gil” Gilbertson. Fittingly, Gerry passed away on their anniversary.
Gerry was a Pink Lady at Theda Clark for many years and accumulated thousands of hours of volunteer work between Theda Clark. St. Paul Lutheran Church, and numerous other activities. Of course, she was also an avid Packer and Badger fan.
Gerry is survived by her daughter, Diane Gilbertson and her life partner, Betty Paskausky, Webster, WI; and grand-dog, Maxy.
No services will be held.
She loved all animals and there was always a dog or cat in the house. With that in mind, please consider a memorial to the Humane Society of choice.
