ROBERT GRIMMER

Robert F. Grimmer, age 74, of Menasha passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, April 16, 2016.  He was born on November 4, 1941 in Appleton, Wisconsin son of the late William A. and Marcella A. (Berg) Grimmer.  Bob was a graduate of Appleton West High School.  He worked as a Lead Pressman for Banta for 42 years until retirement, and was very active in the Union “GCIU” where he held numerous offices.  Bob was also a Past President of the Appleton Bowling Association “ABA.”  He enjoyed bowling, auto racing, camping, and being outdoors.

He will be sadly missed by his children: Michael (Dawn) Grimmer, Appleton, Julie (Ron) Routhieaux, Little Chute, Robin (Corby) Blansette, Appleton; grandchildren: Justin Wilkum; Aimee and Emma Grimmer; Dominick Green; Hayden and Ashton Routhieaux; nephew, Dave (Colleen) Grimmer; Mother to Michael and Julie, Darlene Steger, Appleton; and several good friends.  In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his step-father, Lawrence West; brother, James (Audrey) Grimmer; Mother to Robin, Diane Grimmer.

A Celebration of Life for Bob will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Menasha's Westgor Funeral Home with Rev. Martin Ruge officiating.  Friends will be received at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Bob's name.
