Obituary
Margaret M. Houlihan, age 95, of Menasha, WI passed away after a short illness on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at home surrounded by her family. Margaret was born in Minneapolis, MN, on May 26, 1920, daughter of George and Anna Vnak. On September 23, 1950, Margaret married Robert T. Houlihan and he preceded her in death on January 14, 1985. She is a longtime member of St. Mary's Parish, Menasha.
Margaret was preceded in death by a brother George Vnak, a sister Mary Kosciolek and two brothers-in-law Thomas DeFore and Edward Kosciolek. She is survived by her children: Mary, Chicago; John (Jane), Neenah; Peter (Marianne), Minneapolis; Paul (Jon), Boston; Kathleen (Tom) Voelker, Wisconsin Rapids; Patricia, Menasha; Michael (Bonnie), Cedarburg; Timothy (Amy), New London; Robert (Sue), Neenah; a sister, Dolores DeFore, and a brother, James (Diane) Vnak, both of Minneapolis; 18 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral service for Margaret will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, 528 2nd St, Menasha, with Father Ted Hendricks officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday, directly at the church, from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service. Inurnment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Menasha.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Best Friends of Neenah-Menasha or St. Mary Catholic Schools STEM Education Club.
Mourn not too long that she is gone but rejoice that she was.
