JOYCE KAUFMAN

Joyce L. Kaufman (Mangan), 84, of Appleton was reunited with her husband and three sons on Jan. 10, 2022 at Hartland Terrace Assisted Living. She was born in Appleton, to the late Maurice and Sylvia (Krueger) Mangan along with her four sisters, Vivian (Ronnie) Stewart, Laverne (Norm) Grassl, Lois (Roy) Geiger, twin Joan (Eugene) Moseng  along with one brother, Donald (Ellen) Mangan.   Despite the Covid situation, her daughter Carrie was at her side.

Joyce married the love her life Jack Kaufman on July 30^th, 1955.  Together they had five children. Joyce worked several different jobs while raising the children.  She worked hard all her life, and later worked in a retail store in Appleton, Lastly, she was a waitress at the Grog in Menasha where she loved to make people laugh. Joyce was loved by everyone who knew her.  She had a knack for making people laugh. She played a significant role in her grandchildren's lives whether teaching them to read or ride a bicycle.  She never ran out of Love to give. She was a wonderful Mother and Grandmother to all children including the neighbor children in Menasha, who used to come to her house to get suckers each week.  She was an avid sports fan of the Packers, Brewers and Bucks. Joyce will be missed by many family and friends.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, John (Jack) Kaufman, her four sisters including her twin Joan Moseng, her brother, and her sons, Jim, Tom, and John Kaufman.

She is survived by her loving children, Carrie (Jeff) Kippenhan, and Roger Kaufman, as well as Daughter-in-laws Louise Hermsen and Kay Kaufman (Liske). She is also survived by eight Grandchildren, Aaron (Stephanie) Kaufman, Steven (Mandy) Kaufman, Rachel Kaufman, Sara Kaufman, Kevin (Crystal) Kippenhan, Cody (Stephanie) Kippenhan, Joe Kaufman, and Heidi Kaufman.  She is further survived by ten great grandchildren, Mercedes and Ariel Kippenhan, Lilly and Emma Kippenhan, Araeah Collins, Mark, Lilly, Elijah, Avianna, and Nova.

The family thanks Hartland Terrace staff for making her last years so enjoyable with Parties, Homecoming, Brewer games and joking around with her. She loved you all as you made her life full, especially during the Covid situation.

The funeral service for Joyce will be held at 7:00 pm on Monday, January 17, 2022 at Menasha's Westgor Funeral Home. The visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until the time of the service. For those unable to attend, the service will be available on the funeral home's Facebook page. She will be laid to rest with her husband Jack and sister Joan at St. Joseph Cemetery in Appleton on Tuesday Jan. 18^th weather permitting. A mother's love is always with her children.  Mom, you left us beautiful memories; your love will always be our guide.  Although we cannot see you, we know you are right there by our side.
