Obituary
Doreen Newhouse, age 74 of Neenah, passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully at her home Friday morning, June 10, 2016. She was born August 17, 1941, daughter of the late John and Lillian (Kurtzien) Hawley.
Doreen's lifetime career was being a caregiver to others working as a nursing assistant. Her interests included caring for her children and grandchildren, cooking and baking, and reading.
She is survived by four children: Scott (Shirley) Shelley, Colfax; Ritchie (Chris) Shelley, Appleton; Jay Newhouse, Oshkosh; and Lana (special friend David Campbell) Newhouse, Neenah; her grandsons: Josh and Cole Shelley, and granddaughter, Carley Newhouse; and her twin brother, Dale (Karen) Hawley, Mequon.
Doreen was preceded in death by a son, Craig Shelley; sisters: Lois, Dawn, Sue and June; and brothers: James, Roger (Deanne), Jack, and Tom.
A memorial service for Doreen will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, June 16, 2016 at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. until the hour of service. Inurnment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Doreen's family would like to extend a special thanks to the caring staff at Creekview at Evergreen in Oshkosh and at Emerald Ridge, Neenah.
