Obituary
Lorna Beth Neerhof of Neenah, Wisconsin died Thursday June 9, 2016 at Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, Alabama from complications related to pneumonia.
Born in Sheldon, Iowa February 26, 1948 to Robert and Bernadine Den Hartog, Lorna met her husband Lee Neerhof on a church mission trip in 1965, and they were married in Sheldon, Iowa at Bethel Reformed Church on July 5, 1969. Lorna graduated from Cherokee School of Nursing in Cherokee, Iowa in 1969 and was a licensed practical nurse for 44 years. In that time, she also specialized in Alzheimer's care.
Lorna was a devoted member of Apple Valley Church. She was also the chaplain for the Gideon Auxillary Fox River Central Camp for several years and served as a piano and organ accompanist for many churches throughout her life.
Lorna is survived by her husband, Lee; her son, Lyle Neerhof (Madison, AL); and her daughters: Lorinda Neerhof (Oshkosh, WI); Lenore Neerhof (Schaumburg, IL); Lisa Kunza and husband B.J. Kunza (Summerset, SD); her grandchildren: Nevaeh Neerhof, Elijah Kunza and William Kunza; her father, Robert Den Hartog; and her sisters: Gayle Roelfs (Bruce), Marlys Grimm (Norm), Karen Alderink (Tim), Brenda Krahling (Jeff), Mary Ginn and her brothers: Jim Den Hartog (Eloise) and Tim Den Hartog (Gail).
The funeral service for Lorna will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, June 17, 2016 at Apple Valley Church, 1750 Olde Buggy Dr., Neenah. A visitation will be held at church on Thursday, June 16, 2016 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and again on Friday from 9:00 A.M. until the hour of service.
