KENNETH VOISS

Kenneth H. Voiss, Neenah, 92, passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2016. He was born April 29, 1924 in Grand Forks, ND to the late Peter and Elsie (Strylund) Voiss. He served his country during WWII with the US Naval Airforce in the Pacific Theater. He was awarded three air medals for meritorious acts. He graduated from the University Of North Dakota with a degree in Chemical Engineering in 1949 and later received his Professional Engineering License. Ken was united in marriage to Vivian Steinbach on September 16, 1950 and enjoyed 65 years of marriage. He worked for Bergstrom/Gladfelter Paper Company for 32 years, retiring in 1987 as Chief Engineer. He enjoyed working in the yard, gardening, golfing, reading, and spending time with his family. He was a longtime member of Ridgeway Country Club – having four holes-in-one; Neenah Club; the American Legion, Fremont Post 391; and was very active in Martin Luther Church, Neenah.

Ken will be missed by his wife Vivian; by his daughter, Mary (Mark) Fetterer and their three sons: Jeremy (Samantha) and their family: Sierra, Miles, Montgomery, Louise, and Simon Kenneth; Joel (Becca) and their family: Dominick, Eva, and Lily; and Ryan; his son, Scott (Theresa) and their family: Spencer and Claire. He is further survived by his sisters-in-law: Donna, Bev, and Dorothy Voiss; Carole Steinbach; and Donna Kiesow. He was preceded in death by sisters: Ethelyn, Doris, Irma, Marge, Jeanne; and brothers: Lyle, Adrian, Darrell, Don, Allan, and Jerry; as well as brothers-in-law: Carl Steinbach and Robert Kiesow.

The Christian Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at Martin Luther Church, 436 S. Lake St., Neenah with Tyler Shinnick officiating. A visitation will be held Thursday at church from 9:00 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. The Committal Service will be at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Readfield, WI.
